If you have Elite on Steam, then it's no issue at all, you just install it from the main UI, as any other game.

Works like a charm too, no issues whatsoever! (I use the standalone FDEV store version). It looks great too, obvs won't do everything on Ultra, but a nice mixture of Medium/High setting make it looks amazing at that resolution, considering it's a handheld device. Elite is a massive battery drainer (no surprise really, it's a big game) and setting those limits does not really take away from the experience, but prolongs the battery life rather nicely. I suggest lowering the refresh rate to 40 Hz and capping FPS at 40 too. It will then appear in your main Steam Deck UI as a non-Steam game. Add the launcher to Steam games as a non-steam game. Download the launcher (Epic Games or stand alone Elite from FDEV).Ĥ. If it's any other platform (including stand-alone account from FDEV store), on the high level you need to do the following:Ģ. If you're coming from console, then you'll be right at home with the controls.
